"Socializing"

We had a very busy Thursday this past week.  We had our workout group in the morning and now that Henry can sit up he is "socializing" with the other kids.  Laken is the little boy with him below.  Henry seems to be the most interested in him, but Laken can crawl so when he goes mobile Henry is left in his dust.  They do a nice job of playing (aka staring at each other) when they are close together though.

You can see a lot of the kids playing in the background.  By the way, this is at the end of the workout, we don't just let the kids play for an hour.  I guess the motherhood motto is "mom's work hard so that the kids can play hard."

That afternoon for lunch we met with a friend of mine, Erica, and her little boy, Joseph, at Panera, but unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of them together.  Joseph is 2 1/2 and Erica told me she was due in May. Yay! Congratulations!  Joseph wasn't sure about Henry, but I think that will all change when he is a big brother.

Later that afternoon we met at another friend's house with women I affectionately call the "Cessna Wives."  We all have kids around the same age.  This is Henry with Luke.  I love Luke's expression!  The picture below this one shows that they already have a common interest, chewing on puzzle pieces.

Henry decided to have some alone time.  All of the other kids are eating a snack and he just wanted to roll around for a while.  While he was sitting up the puzzle piece got too far away for him to reach so he just went for it, did a little face plant and then rolled over to try and find the piece.  I was so proud of him for trying, I guess this is just the beginning.
