Ella Ruth-2 months

This sweet little girl is already two months old.  I know I will be saying this the rest of my life, "where has the time gone?" She is so much fun and such a happy baby!  Here are the stats from our doctor's appointment:
weight: 12lbs. 9oz.   87% (the complete opposite end of the spectrum from her brother, I might add)
height: 22.75 in.  63%
head: 38.5 cm  45% (also different from her brother :))

Henry loves to kiss Ella, but refused to sit with his arm around her.  I guess a boy has to have his limits.

Another month has gone by and this is what I have learned about Ella Ruth:
(1) she still has a precious personality
(2) her smiles light up the room
(3) she is already trying to "talk"
(4) when she falls asleep on my chest the whole world stops and I am in Heaven
(5) the nighttime feedings are a wonderful time to be just mother and daughter without the distraction of big brother
(6) when she needs something she is not afraid to let everyone around her know it
(7) she has the most kissable cheeks!
(8) I love her more every day

Let it snow, let is snow, let it snow

I love the snow!  Henry and I stared out the window just watching it fall ALL day.  It was amazing.  By the time Andrew got home from work the snow had stopped, for a short time, and we were able to go out and enjoy playing in it.

Andrew made a sled with our trash can lid and took Henry for rides down a small hill by our house.  Henry wasn't too excited about the cold, but I think he liked the experience overall.  He definitely liked the hot chocolate and snow ice cream that came after all the outside fun.  Luckily our neighbors had an awesome sled that he was able to ride on a few times before coming inside.

Ella was very quiet the whole time.  Frozen, maybe?

I love watching my family play in the snow!

How cute are those cheeks?!?

Stay warm!

Santa's Sleigh photos 2013

This one is almost painful to write, but here it is anyway.  Last year I got the cutest pictures of Henry with Santa at Prairie Pines.  I love being able to take my own pictures and was looking forward to doing that again with both kids this year.  Well, I called Prairie Pines on a Tuesday and the message on the machine said that this weekend would be the last one.

It was a terribly cold Saturday morning, but we got the kids in their pajamas and took off to see Santa.  When we got there we didn't see any cars in the parking lot, I was so excited!  Well, when we went inside we found out why.  Santa had returned to the North Pole the previous weekend and I had missed my opportunity to get pictures of my kids with him.  So, here is Henry (18 months) and Ella (12 days) on Santa's sleigh.  It's the best I could do this year :)

Christmas 2013

Christmas started on December 23rd.  We had an early Christmas with my sister, Blythe and her family.  It has been a long time since I have been around small kids at Christmas time and it was fun to watch my nephews, Colton and Wyatt, enjoy opening their presents.  It was contagious too because Henry started to get into the present opening spirit.

Wyatt got a bike for Christmas, but Henry's favorite part was the helmet.

Andrew and I were really excited to have Christmas morning at our house, especially since my brother, Jeremy, his wife, Misty and their two dogs were staying with us.  It wasn't a big Christmas at our house, but watching Henry open his presents and get so excited about the little things was all I needed to make it the perfect Christmas.

The kids got me chapstick so that my lips will always be soft when I give them kisses. Love it!

Henry's first laptop.

I got Andrew a ladle.  What every man wants, right?  I lost his about four years ago and he has been complaining about it since.  So, now there is no need to complain.

Henry got his daddy the movie Planes in 3D.

Our first family of four photo.

After Christmas at our house we went to Grampa and Grammy's house.  Henry didn't go immediately to the tree, but once he got there he spotted his tricycle right away!

Grammy enjoyed cuddling with Ella during the present opening.

Tony thought the army jacket we gave him was pretty cool.

Aunt Lindsay was a pro at multi-tasking with Ella in her arms.

December 26th we had our final Christmas.  Boompa and Nana really pulled out all the stops.  Henry got a Cozy Coup that he loves to ride around the house and a huge dog that he loves to tackle.

Ella loves her new outfit!

I wanted to make sure Dad was decked out for any OU event.

We had a fantastic holiday season, celebrating with family and enjoying the new addition to our family.  We are so blessed!
